The Principle of Choosing Refractory Materials of Different Parts for Cement Kiln （Part 1）
?Preheating and Decomposition ZoneCompared with other parts, the temperature requirement for these 2 parts is low, low thermal conductivity and good abrasion resistant brick will be preferable. In these 2 areas, the raw material of alkali will evaporate and gather in mass quantity in the kiln, of course, the alkali will penetrate into the inner part of the bricks. Common clay bricks will react with the alkali to make the surface crisp and result in exfoliation because of the expansion of the interior of the bricks. If we select the surface of the bricks with about Al2O325%-28% and SiO265%～70%, the brick will form a high-viscosity glazing layer to stop the exfoliation. But this kind of brick can't resist the work temperature above 1200℃, so we choose phosphate and high aluminium brick, anti-exfoliation and high aluminium brick or alkali proof bricks in preheating part.Anti- exfoliation and high aluminium brick is a good choice in decomposition Zone, Guimo bricks has better property and longer working life but the price is much higher.
