- “Macro” import or export data as reported by government, giving you the quantity (mt, pounds, liters) of product for each HS code in the nomenclature, as well as consolidated value (generally in USD). This data i
- “Micro” import/export data with more precise information for each manifest recorded by customs officers. The information from the manifests is much more detailed: you have the names of the importing, exporting companies, specific product description, value for each bill of lading, etc.
They’re all based on data collected by customs at the export point (port, airport, border) or at the import point.
